chatt travels: date night in river city

Chattanooga, Tennessee is a booming city! It would be a great family weekend getaway (future post on this coming soon!) and it is full of places to hit for a date weekend too.

I started out the day with some pampering at The Blowout Co Chattanooga. You could say I have found a new love in getting these blowouts. They are wonderful and your hair is so soft afterwards. We walked around this gorgeous city and loved all the antique buildings adjacent to new modern industry. So many cool things are happening in this city.

We had lunch reservations at Stir located in the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo. They have a fabulous brunch menu and the ambiance was so appealing. The waiters were so accommodating and Southern and I cannot wait to go back.

After meeting some Sidekicks and touring some local shops on Warehouse Row, my husband and I went to the newly constructed The Edwin Hotel. We enjoyed the coolest corner suite, with a view of Chattanooga's largest pedestrian bridge and museums. The hotel was so chic and boutique, with modern artwork, retro style record players in the rooms, and the coziest of furnishings and throws.

We attended Chattanooga's infamous annual fundraiser for breast cancer, Pink! Gala, and had the time of our lives. They call it their "Adult Prom" and I can see why. Everyone was dressed so dapper, the decor was over the top, and the fabulous band had everyone dancing the night away. We ended the evening with Krystal burgers, since Chattanooga is where the franchise got its start. Yum!

Chattanooga was so fun and welcoming and we cannot wait to return for a family weekend full of fun, and of course, I'll bring my Sidekicks along.
