Destination: Charlotte and 5K!!

What an incredible quick trip! We arrived in Charlotte at 1 am after my husband finished a full day with patients at our dental practice.  He had a dental meeting for PRP used in his implant dental cases.  He & I always try to mix work trips with pleasure-any excuse to have a date night or two away together!

The beautiful streets of Charlotte

We stayed at the Omni Downtown Charlotte which I highly recommend. It is newly renovated, in the heart of everything and the rooms are decorated as a modern boutique hotel with all the large hotel amenities- coffee shop, restaurant, room service, turn down service, etc., which I ended up putting to use when I woke up to the biggest surprise ever and had reached my Instagram goal of FIVE THOUSAND FOLLOWERS , my goal to launch this blog!! Needless to say I spent countless hours in the hotel room finalizing the blog & trying out the room service.

So many great finds in Charlotte

I did find time to get away to a restaurant & to hit some of the shops you had recommended to me. More on this in Thursday's post.

This menu was to die for

We had dinner at HAYMAKERS, a farm to table restaurant. It was absolutely fabulous! My husband and I both like trying new restaurants and instead of ordering, we ask them to bring us the most popular dishes to try. We love trying new things!  Everything we ate was incredible and so unique.

The harvest cheesecake they had that night put me totally in the mood for fall. I may or may not have ended the road trip through the mountains with a pumpkin spice latte.

Stay tuned for Thursday's post, I'll be sharing all of my shopping finds and an interview with an amazing shoe designer!
