Ingredients:
- family size pork chops or half of a pork loin sliced (from the butcher)
-jar of pineapple with juice
*For the rest of the ingredients, I like to eyeball the amount. I recommend at least 3-4 tablespoons of each.
-soy sauce
-teriyaki sauce
-chopped onion
-brown sugar
-slivered almonds (optional)
Directions:
Throw everything in the crockpot, and let it simmer all day until the meat is tender.
When the meat is cooked through, transfer it to a griddle or cast iron skillet to sear the outside. You can also do this to the pineapple slices.
Contine to spoon the marinade on top of the tenderloins as they are searing.
Serve over white rice with a green salad or fresh vegetable.
Notes:
-I love to buy the family size of meat because I will reuse it in either stew in the fall, or pork tacos with slaw in warmer weather.
-If you do not want to throw everything together in the morning, you can marinate your meat overnight and bake in the oven before searing.
There is no reason to not eat around the table with your family at least ONCE this week! ;)
