I DO, Love Pink and Chinoiserie

I wanted to share a bridesmaids luncheon that I hosted for my cousin. I decided to make everything girlie- chinoiserie and PINK for the event.

The invitation sets the party’s tone.  It is the first decision I make and everything needs to stay in line with it.  I ask my dear friend @lboriginals to create the invitations for me. I told her my vision and wow did she hit the nail on the head! They were gorgeous! I always like to frame an invite to set at the entrance table.

I pulled chinoiserie pieces I had from around the house and my covered porches to hold floral arrangements.  The Enchanted Home is a great place to order and collect these pieces.

I also pulled out my silver serving pieces and brass buckets.  I want to have an eclectic mix of traditional layers.  I gathered some oasis to wet & fill my containers (it helps keep the flowers cool and holds them in place). I cut florals from around my property the morning of the event. Anything I liked in shades of white & pink I mixed together. Remember there are no rules when you are the one throwing the party. You do what you like!

I chose to keep the meal light, since it was a mid-day luncheon outside. I served strawberry almond salad, chicken salad croissants and chips.  Of course we had PINK wedding cake-flavored cupcakes also.

The most important things to remember are that your guests feel welcome & you enjoy hosting the event. Relax & have fun with it!!
